Masenze Ikusasa Wish list for 2019

Our course teaches basic ECD skills to Practitioners working in home-based child care centres in and around Alexandra is a sponsored course. Although the practitioners pay a small amount towards the costs we depend largely on sponsorships and donations to cover the rest of the course. It is a very practical broad based course aimed at those who do not readily qualify for formal training courses. Every year we find that we have to turn people away as our funds do not allow us to cope with more than 50 practitioners. To enable us to offer the course to more people we are putting out this wish list and requesting people to assist us in various ways so that we can train more

practitioners.

Please would you consider the following ways that might help us to continue the work we do in enriching the lives of young children by
providing this practical hands-on course for ECD practitioners?

Items that would assist us in presenting our
workshops:

  • 2 x Folding trestle tables available at Makro and Westpack +/- R800.00 each

  • Plastic sheeting to cover our work tables – we get good strong plastic from

  • 25 plastic chairs available Westpack –+/- 39.99 each  West Pack

  • Flipboard stand and flipchart paper

  • Digital camera

  • 2 x Gas heaters and gas bottles – it gets very cold in the hall in winter

This year is our 10th Anniversary and we would like to celebrate it with something special at the end of the course – donations for this will be gratefully received   We need to raise more sponsorship this year to add to the sponsorship already received so we intend to do a raffle and would like to find some exciting prizes to raffle. Last year we raffled a mobile phone.
